Getting started with the Maingau API Developer Portal

This page it dedicated to get a general overview over the Developer Portal and how to use it properly. After a brief introduction you are free to browse our APIs to get a better understanding of them and find potentially useful APIs for your demand. For specific questions head over to the Tutorials Section and learn our principles of operation when working with the APIs which the Maingau API Developer Portal provides.

Sign up first!

To access all capabilities of the Portal you need to sign up first. After you have signed up, please verify your email address. After those two steps you are ready to go and are able to explore all APIs by your own. If you don't sign up you can visit the Portal as a guest, thus you will only have limited access to a few APIs which are publicly available.

Subscribe to a Product

Most of the available APIs are managed in so called "Products". In order to try out the APIs you will need to subscribe to the product that contains them. To do this simply go to the product overview and click on the product that contains the API/APIs you want to use. After you have found the desired product click the subscribe button in the detail view and subscribe to that product. You will then receive an email once your subscription has been approved. Once your subscription is active you can then try out the various APIs of the product you have subscribed to. To manage your subscriptions and check their status, check out the top right of the portal and click on "profile menu" after you signed in.
